We are fearless, independent and original. We are RAD.
Oh the stories we could tell...but we'll start with one day in March 2014.
After the gazillionth person contacted me for personal chef work during a training season, I had an epiphany. "Why am I not doing this full time? Like for REAL?" I remember the moment like it was yesterday. I was on the way home from working with a client. With in the next five minutes, I had it figured out. I was going to make killer food for athletes in Boulder...and I wanted Morgan to be my business partner. Upon arrival home a few short minutes later, I busted in the door and shouted to Morgan, "I want to make great food for athletes in Boulder! And...can you deliver it by bicycle? Oh, and be my business partner?" We discussed quickly how there were companies that SORT of provided this service, but there was always a component missing. The food tasted good, but was not good for you. OR it was good for you, but tasted like er...well you know. We wanted to provide it all. The entire "Boulder" list of stuffs. Local, organic practices, small farms, non-GMO, whole animal use, compostable packaging, etc. This would be our mission.
I had no name for this business that was minutes old and I knew I needed to hook Morgan with something super cool. Something that embodied endurance sports, Boulder, who WE were...something a little rock-n-roll. With out any thought at all I shouted out that "oh, and the name of the business is RAD...Real Athlete Diets". That was that. Morgan was on board.
Fast forward to today and we are growing leaps and bounds. We have grown from individual meals (and can no longer meet the demands of delivery on two wheels) to athlete camps, clinics and workshops to fun runs and post race food. If it makes sense, we do it. If it doesn't, we don't.
We have brought on board the most amazing team of elite athletes to represent what we believe and embraced every aspect of this journey. They fuel our fire.
It's been a wild ride so far and we don't see it stopping anytime soon.
We've learned to follow our instinct and hearts, stay fearless, independent and original in what we do.
This is our journey. Thanks for jumping on board.

Morgan Newlon is a cyclist who really likes to eat. He has experience in both the front and back of the house and has made a name for himself in the outdoor industry. Morgan has spent time on the AT, worked on a cattle ranch and thrived on the adventure racing scene. He has a long history of outstanding customer service (that is how he and Kelly met) and investing passion into his work. Morgan loves all things on two wheels (he may have a bike addiction), Led Zeppelin and anything Kelly cooks for him (except eggplant!).
